It's A Renter's Market

We are in a renter's market. Vacancy rates in many areas are higher than they have been in the last 10 to 20 years. That's great news for new renters, but it's difficult for property managers. Word of caution though, screen your prospective tenants carefully! Many people are using false social security numbers or friends as their landlords. Did you know just a 60 second call downtown can let you know if your applicant has ever been in eviction court. Tenants may have bad credit and cannot buy their own home, it doesn't mean they can't pay rent. Keep that in mind.
